In these categories, you will find sheets in different materials and types. You can easily locate buttons at the top of the group for the correct bed width or the type of sheet you want. Sheet Types Topper Fitted Sheet Used for mattress toppers with a height of up to 8 cm. When buying sheets for mattress toppers, you also purchase a sheet to cover the bottom of the bed. Suitable for a standard mattress that lies within a bed frame. Can also be used for a box mattress, where it lies loosely over the sides. Fitted sheet Suitable for both box mattress and spring mattress. Our fitted sheets are up to 40 cm in height, ensuring they fit the vast majority of beds. Most people buy box mattress fitted sheet in smooth woven materials, such as cotton satin or canvas weaves. Cotton satin is shinier and feels soft, dense, and comfortable to lie on. Canvas weaving is not as soft but is very durable, featuring a cooler and crisper surface. H-sheet Elevation sheet for adjustable beds. An H-sheet fits a double mattress, partially split 60 cm at the head and foot ends, allowing you to use the adjustable parts independently. This avoids the "crack" in the middle of the bed that you would get with two ordinary single fitted sheets. U-sheet Elevation sheet for adjustable beds. A U-sheet fits a double mattress topper. Designed for mattress toppers that are one piece at the foot end, with a 60 cm split at the head end. Material The material of the sheet is an important aspect. It greatly influences the sheet's quality, depending on what it's made from and the type of weave used. Below is an overview of the materials and weaves most commonly chosen. Cotton Most of the sheets on our webshop are made from cotton. Cotton is used as the primary material for sheet production because it has many natural benefits. Cotton also has very strong fibres, allowing for the easy creation of robust threads. These strong cotton threads can then be woven in various ways. Benefits of buying 100% cotton sheets include:
Silk Silk is a natural material and is particularly suitable for home textiles. Sheets, bedding, and duvets made from silk are of high quality. Silk is highly breathable, sweat-wicking, anti-bacterial, and self-cleaning. Silk sheets are often woven in a satin weave, providing the densest and softest sheet. This maximises the benefits of silk in the sheet. Cotton satin Cotton satin is a type of cotton weave. When a product is identified as cotton satin, it's important not to compare it with the old-fashioned satin sheets from years ago. Cotton satin is still 100% cotton and therefore shares the same benefits as regular cotton sheets, such as those in percale or jersey. This weave is frequently used in bedding and sheets because it makes the product durable, soft, and shiny. A satin weave often has a higher thread count per m2, making the sheet feel softer, thicker, and more densely woven. Jersey (cotton) This type of weaving is used for stretch sheets. Jersey means the sheet is knitted rather than woven like other types. This knitted material allows the sheet to stretch as the threads can move in all directions. The thread count per m2 can vary in jersey sheets, which affects the thickness, also known as density. Jersey is not an inferior quality of sheet; it simply indicates a different composition of the cotton threads. The advantages of a jersey sheet are that it is easy to place on the bed, can be washed normally in the washing machine, and typically fits over both the mattress and mattress topper (depending on their thickness). Washing and maintenanceTo get the best out of your sheets, it's important to know how to maintain them properly. Sheets are made from the same material as much of your bedding, so they need to be washed in much the same way. Below are the most important tips for washing your sheets to keep them looking nice and feeling fresh for as long as possible.
